Hello, Fawnda-here and I am back with another fun Jar craft for this month!
Since there are so many vacation and trips in the summer I thought I would make something that could travel well. These Doodle Jar go in the purse for when we go out to eat and have to wait for our food. At the bottom of the post I have 3 drawing activities to do with your kids.
Here is how to make your Jar: It's super easy.
1. Gather supplies: 1 large Peanut Butter Jar, Paper, Markers (Optional: Washi tape, Sharpie markers, etc. for decorating)
2. Cut your paper into 1/4's so that they can fit into the jar.
3. Place paper and markers in the Jar.
4. Decorate
Now you can bring with you anywhere! Great for restaurants, Dr. offices, church, the car!
3 Drawing Actives to try with your kids:
1. You Draw-I Draw
Start a picture and pass it on to your kid to draw and then they pass it back to you. You each take turns adding to the picture. Each turn should be short adding only one element to the picture. It is fun to see where it goes!
2. Close Your Eyes and Draw
Have your kid close their eyes and draw for a short time. Then when they open their eyes they have to make something from the "doodle" they just drew, They can add what ever they want to the picture but have them try to use the eyes-closed doodle as much as possible.
3. Fill in the blank.
Here I start a picture leaving out a big part of it. Like only the bottom part of a car or 2 sides of a bridge with the bridge missing. And then pass it to your kid to finish the picture letting them add what ever they want.
I hope you enjoy these fun drawing activities! Come and visit Fireflies and Jellybeans for more fun ideas!
